E3 2013: Nintendo
WARNING: LARGE WALL OF TEXT APPROACHING
Full
disclosure. I’m a Nintendo fanboy. When I was younger you couldn't have
paid me to have a Sony or Microsoft game product under my roof. I’m not
as bad as I used to be. Hell, I even own a PS2 and Xbox 360 now.
However, when push comes to shove, I will back Big N to the grave.
Naturally this means that I was super excited for the recent Nintendo
Direct that came out of E3. At first I was a little skeptical with the
fact that Nintendo was eschewing the traditional big show, but after all
has been said and done, I’m very pleased with the result.

Arrested Development Season 4 Review
Like many people, I discovered Arrested Development (AD) years after it was on the air through the DVDs. It quickly became one of my favorite shows. The crazy characters, complexity of the writing, and absurdity of the plot all meshed together to make a very enjoyable viewing experience. As soon as I finished season 3, I scoured the internet looking for any information on the fabled movie that they would be making. At that time it was still in development hell. I waited with baited breath for any trickle of news to come out of the cast and creators. Naturally I was super excited when it was announced that a fourth season was finally going to be made. Netflix and Hulu entered a bidding war for the rights to air the new season, with Netflix (my prefered poison) edging out the competition. And now, at long last the day has arrived! We have new episodes of one of the greatest shows ever.

Discussion: Star Trek Into Darkness: Trekkie vs Casual Fan
So,
as one of our first posts here on Non-Ram, Alex thought it would be
cool to sit down with me and have a discussion about the new Star Trek
film, Star Trek Into Darkness.

Alex,
on the other hand, grew up with Star Trek, watching reruns of The
Original Series (TOS) with his mom, and even watching some original runs
of The Next Generation (TNG.) He told me how he remembers the first
time he saw Wrath of Khan and how he fell in love with everything about
it. He’s been a huge fan ever since, and will always love Star Trek.
Alex
thought it would be fun to get the opinion of a Trek fan as well as a
non-Trek fan to see exactly how Abrams' films work for both sets of
viewers. I agreed and below you will find some excerpts from our
conversation. I hope you enjoy.
